The Piña Colada is one of the Dominican Republic's most popular drinks. This satisfying, lightly alcoholic beverage is great for parties, social gatherings, sipping by the pool, or simply unwinding.
In this easy recipe, we use Puerto Plata's very own Brugal Rum, makers of some of the finest rums world! Feel free to use the rum brand of your choice. Serves up to six people.

Ingredients
- 3 cups pineapple cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup of Brugal Rum
- 3 cups coconut cream
- 3 cups of ice
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring
Instructions
- Place pineapple cubes in a resealable plastic bag and freeze them for at least 3 hours.
- Combine the rum, coconut cream, ice, sugar and vanilla flavoring in your blender and blend until smooth.
- Place your blender cup into the freezer for about 30 minutes so that your mixture can thicken.
- Combine your pineapple cubes with your mixture. Blend until your drink is consistantly nice and slushy. Serve.
