Hola everyone. I just wanted to share with you the recipe for my ma's super delicious, Creamy Garlic Chicken.
Its succulent, mouth-watering taste will have you hooked after just one bite!
INGREDIENTS
4 chicken breasts
Goya seasoning
Flour
Olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 whole head of sliced garlic
1/2 cup water
1, 12 ounce can of evaporated milk
1/2 cup white cooking wine
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon corn starch
INSTRUCTIONS
- Poke holes into your chicken breasts with a fork so that the flavor can seep into the meat better. Lightly baste them with olive oil and season with the Goya seasoning. Place the chicken in a sealed bag or container and let them marinate for about 3 hours in the refrigerator.
- Remove from the refrigerator and coat the chicken in flour.
- In a large skillet on medium-high heat, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Once the skillet is hot, sauté the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it's golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add another tablespoon of butter to the pan. Once it melts, add the garlic cloves. Cook them for 3-4 minutes, stirring often, until they're lightly browned on the outside.
- Add the water, wine, chicken bouillon cube, corn starch, and garlic powder to the pan. Let it cook for about 4 minutes or until the liquid is noticeably reduced.
- Add the evaporated milk to the sauce and keep stirring until it starts to thicken. Add the chicken back into the pan. Let it cook for another 5 minutes or so, until the sauce is reduced and the chicken is thoroughly cooked through. Serve nice and hot with white rice or one of your favorite side dishes.
